About these locations
Camera points come from public OpenStreetMap records tagged as automated license plate recognition equipment. State and city membership is calculated with official U.S. Census boundaries. A point on a boundary is included with a covers test rather than a strict within test, and incorporated places take precedence over Census-designated places where the two overlap. Those rules make counts reproducible without pretending that the source is complete.
The manufacturer labels are deliberately conservative. A camera is counted as Flock only when approved source tags identify that manufacturer. Other supported ALPR manufacturers remain separate, and incomplete evidence stays Manufacturer Unknown. Location directory questions
Does this directory list every Flock camera location?
No. It lists publicly documented records in the current source. Missing markers and missing cities do not prove that cameras are absent.
Why are some city and state names not links?
A location becomes a crawlable link only after its data quality, search intent, evidence, and manual approval fields pass the project's INDEX gate.
Are the city counts limited to official boundaries?
Yes. Headline counts use the supported official Census Place boundary rather than a search radius or a loose metro-area name.
Can I search an address here?
The directory searches supported city and state names. Use the nearby search for an address, ZIP code, or current-location request.
